Virtual Vincent van Gogh Art Tour

Take a two-hour live virtual tour of Vincent van Gogh’s life and artistic career. In the span of 10 years from 1880 to 1890 this artist was able to create thousands of artworks and master many techniques. In this tour, we will explore his historic facts, famous paintings, drawings, letters, and how he worked with the Impressionist artists.

We begin our journey by exploring his early life before he became an artist and why his vocations were such an influence on his art. We will also examine the influence of Impressionist artists while he lived in Paris and in Arles. We will also discuss his experience with his illnesses and the treatments that he received which were the beginnings of art therapy. We finish our tour with the aftermath of his untimely death and how his artwork was collected to create Museums and the global proliferation of his artwork.

This was my first virtual museum tour. I loved it! The speaker was lively, entertaining, informative, educated… she was a very good at her job. I’m hooked and will be back for more tours. I am a degree artist, art history minor, picture framer- but sadly I am also newly disabled. My chances of ever getting back to a brick and mortar museum again are slim. But I am so inspired now knowing that my museum days have returned. I can’t thank you enough for the experience. In particular, the sacred arts are my current interest, so I was very pleased that this tour was offered.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the Van Gogh Art Tour yesterday. Earlier in the weekend, we attended Beyond Van Gogh--the Immersive Experience in Salt Lake City. We had a truly immersive Van Gogh weekend. Thanks for the art tour. It is always engaging and educational to spend a couple hours studying one of our favorite artists.
